We got a quiet town with pleasant country folks,
With Eagles flyin’ their Blue and White,
“I go to GSU,” every Eagle gloats,
Statesboro values the simple life.
Among our values is the strength of family,
Present in our Brother and Sisterhood,
35 Chapters givin’ readily,
Out in The Boro, they’re doin’ good.
We value those who fight to be triumphant,
Who give their all, then, they give some more,
Those who never quit, they put that umph in,
Then graduate to watch Freedom soar.
We appreciate some good ol’ football,
This is when ol’ Freedom will soar the most,
We’ve got six I-Double-A titles in all,
10 conference, too, we don’t mean to boast.
Some say these values are as Georgian it could get,
Well it’s the same as it ever was,
They say the city slickers just don’t get it,
But anyone in the country does.

’Round here we like our chicken pan fried,
Served hot from Lakeside’s Tilted Skillet,
And you ain’t lived your life until you’ve gone & tried,
Our home-style food so live it up & kill it.
We love honey biscuits, Georgian Peach Pies,
Almost as sweet as your sweetie’s kiss,
We value love, long walks, a glowing sunrise,
Our Sweethearts Circle towards Wedded bliss.
We’re still amazed at all this planet’s wildlife,
With wonder inside our Wildlife center,
Community is valued as a way of life,
It’s present everywhere the Eagles enter.
We value beauty like our garden roses,
And good clean fun like our Water Park,
Sliding down Mat Racer, Holy Moses!
In our hearts, Statesboro hits the mark.
Some say these values are as Georgian it could get,
Well it’s the same as it ever was,
They say the city slickers just don’t get it,
But anyone in the country does.
Come one, come all, enroll at GS,
City slickers, here’s a shock for you:
If you have a heart, you share such values:
And you’re more country than you ever knew.
Some say these values are as Georgian it could get,
Here it’s the same as it ever was,
They say the city: they all just don’t get it,
But hell, the whole damn country does.
