Somewhere in America, someone is having their 21st birthday. They will not wait until the weekend, they will celebrate tonight. What’s so great about turning 21? What is it about this day that feels more like a holiday moreso than any other birthday? The answer can be found in six small words: You no longer have to wait. Yes, when you turn 21, the world is officially your oyster and now there is nothing you cannot do. Freedom is yours. And thus you celebrate it….with it. 21 is one of those numbers that is synonymous with college, for it is when the full college experience can be lived without any stealth or fake IDs. And after 21 more days, poetry lovers and college enthusiasts: you, too, will no longer have to wait.
