I Want You To Be Happy

*I Want You to be Happy*

I know everybody says this—
But I really Do want you to be happy.
I figure we can only
End up with one anyway…
So why should the others
Have to pay?
It didn’t work out between us,
But I’ll meet her,
And you’ll meet him.
So what’s the sense in wishing ill-will,
When we both will get our fill?

And even if I am false—
Even if only I don’t find someone…
That makes these words even truer.

I wouldn’t wish this on Anyone.
