Loyola University Chicago Poem

*Loyola*

Hail Loyola! The Guardian of humanity and justice,
With praise we’re sheltered in our coat of arms,
Our learning efforts are for a better world—not just us,
In her loving arms you are safe from harm.
It is our duty to guide extraordinary lives
To our promised land in the Miraculous Mile…
Like St. Ignatius we will devote our lives
To our faith like an obedient child.
As God’s children we will yield to His power,
And use His strength to lift our name,
Through Lake Shore, above the Water Tower,
Ramblers in pursuit of spreading her fame.
Hail Loyola! Our Maroon and Gold,
Her storied history forever extolled.
