RED ALERT!
There is a Big Impact coming from the Midwest,
Redbirds of Illinois with rising crests,
Colors Brilliant and Robust ascend from the nest,
Go, You Redbirds: Crash through the tests!
Impact America with wisdom profound,
Teachers of America stand and resound:
“We are Mighty Redbirds—Elevated from the Ground,”
Now guiding nestlings to find their own sound.
The biggest impacts aren’t grounded—they’re found in flight,
Through spaces of Willow, Cherry—all night,
Intoxicated by the throated altitude of life,
With watershed collisions of growth in sight.

MAYDAY!
Illinois’ first public university is still
Making impact with smiling bills,
Because even in flight there are spills & rills,
But arising from plummets and calamity—
We Will.
With open arms let’s guide the birds that badly
Want to guide others to their futures but sadly
Can’t always open up, so like Doors—Love them Madly,
Will Illinois State help you out the nest?
