There is no better time than now to get on-board the ride through four different regions of the United States by way of the Alma Mater series than at this very moment.
The final volume of the series: Alma Mater Volume 4: The South was just released this past spring, and now I am assembling a Best of Alma Mater collection due out next year. There were a total of 400 poems in the Alma Mater series, 100 from each volume: The Midwest, Northeast, West, and South. As it is currently, the list sits at roughly 120 poems that will appear in the “Best of.” Ideally, I would like to cut it down to 100. That’s where you come in. I will be sharing each of the nominees slowly through the next several months, and each nominee is going in chronological order of how they appear in the series.
I have already begun sharing the nominees from the Midwest, and the first four nominees that are currently published on my site are: The University of Chicago, Illinois Tech, Notre Dame, and Purdue University….with these pieces appearing in that order in the first volume of the series. Now is the perfect time to purchase the Alma Mater series and predict which piece will be next. And in doing so, this also would empower you to lobby for a piece that I may not have even nominated. By revealing nominees in the chronological order that they originally appeared in the series makes this series, as well as this “Best of” project, even more interactive, as you have a voice in what will be the final publication of the Alma Mater series: The Best of Alma Mater.
So what are you waiting for? You can purchase the entire series below for only $3.96, or read them all for free with a Kindle Unlimited subscription. And to view the first four nominees and provide some insight, please feel free to visit this full website. Below, you can find the link to the entire four-volume collection. And stay tuned for the fifth nominee which will be released this week! And while you wait, go ahead and keep up with the poems in Alma Mater Vol. 1 The Midwest, and predict which poem you think will be nominated next after today’s nominee: The University of Purdue!
