From Art of Mind: Philosopoems to the World
I’ve been Poisoned.
i once had vigor.
now it feels like any day could be my last.
i lay in prostration more’an any inpatient. life so flat it feels i’ll flatline any time. i’m ailed by a venom,
a toxic contagion. please, grace,
retrieve me .
*Consulting from Previous Experience*
Put Away that Scalpel!
There’s been a change of plans!
Take away those tubes!
He’s about to stand!
Unplug that EKG — Stop writing on those sheets!
Turn off all those monitors!
His heart’s about to beat!
Reshelf the Defibrillator!
There’s no longer any need!
Take off those Masks!
Now we All can breathe!
Throw away them needles! And Save us All the Sight! You only need her Smile — It brought Me back to life .
