*People Who Walk Slow in the Wintertime*
You know it gets
Cold Outside,
Why do people walk slow in the
Wintertime?
The temperature is frosty and frigid—but is much colder when you’re all alone.
It’s too much for me to bear, while I
Power walk—
They don’t seem to care.
Then I remembered.
They are blanketed with love, bundled with the thoughts of a new bundle of joy or his face when he receives his first
Christmas toy…
They can survive a Chicago Snowstorm,
they have pictures in their wallets to help
Keep them Warm.
Meanwhile I’m unshielded without love’s sugar coat
&
Again-Begin the holidays on a
Sour Note.
You know it gets
Cold Inside—
Watching people walk slow in the
Wintertime.
