*Pace University*

In the Computer Resource Centers
where contact is made with the ITS Help Desk,
after half an hour of being put on hold…

In the streets of New York City, where
in traffic,
much like a course load of 18 credits,
it is easy to fall behind…

In the world-acclaimed
Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts,
At an exclusive theatre premiere in a long line with only
select names…

And at the junction where
Opportunity waits on the other side…

Pace is the “pass” word.

In marathons and in games, never fall in the crowd—
Be a Pace Setter,
Lead cheers like our mascot that now pants from over-rants…
We told him,
“Sometimes, you gotta pace, Setter.”
This University is full with different paths of
Pace Setters,
Opened by Homer & Charles:
The Pace Settlers…
Now the line is crossed by 12,000
Go-Getters.

Here, you have route choices of
over 100 majors & minors,
as well as life experiences
in an à la carte menu we leave up to you.
Whether four years or even up to eight…
Success is never a race;
This is the place
to
Make your own Pace.

The Inspiration

From Art of Mind III: The Evolution of a Trilogy (Available Now)

*The Inspiration*

When life hands them lemons,
They make Masterworks.
Days that begin as tomatoes—
They grind into Heinz field.
You see tomato,
They say tomato— But they don’t simply say, “tomato,” but rather, “fried Green Tomatoes.”

This is a world where everyday
walks of Life
become Motion Pictures—
Given the right lens.

How can so many seemingly ordinary days inspire so many proverbs, aphorisms, poems, movies, songs, and
Art
Among So Many People?
It is the different strokes of man that allow aesthetes to paint such pretty pictures. At this instant the inebriated lovers who strip art from the aesthetes are inspired by all too extraordinary days—
Thus it is their works that engulf art the most.

*St. John Fisher College*

Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge—
Is what St. John Fisher teaches,
In the world’s classroom,
We’re always facing forward…
And we are off—
To the reaches.

A liberal arts college holding catholic traits,
We embrace good practice and prudent judgment,
Thought is your campus tour that never ends…
Where in this working space
That you cover…you discover
New worlds
Within.

SUNY-Oswego Poem

*SUNY—Oswego*

When you walk along the trail to Lee Hall and view the tan softball mound
tucked infield the green trees…
You can see how much beauty the resemblance to our colors retain…
And when you stop to witness the sunflowers singing in duet with the grass…
Its voice carries,
&
The degree
Is Clarified.

In The Campus Center, we wear these colors when we take Plattsburgh Cardinals
on tours of who we are…and though these calling colors
tell beauty, the tour for these Cardinals is far from pretty.
And as hospitable hosts, we knock out their colors forcefully,
To show that on the rink and on this campus, there is always room
For the shed of their red to blend on in.

The Green & Yellow can be seen running across
Bride Street in the spring, until they can run no more
So we must Pub Crawl;
And as long as you are a Laker, then, good sir, you are
Age-appropriate.
Oswego is where
Maturity can grow up and take effect
At pubs & house parties that blow up like
Lake Effect.

Enter buildings where Alley Cats
Live like they’re on their last life
Going from place to place that
Each jump off
And then Lakers cool off
By leaping
Into the Lake.

In the stream you can still see
The yellow & green,
It’s the Magic of the Oz
And we are wizards of the ceremonies…
Up until the Final
Where we pass what has never failed us:
These colors via Torchlight,

So that its song may carry on.

Colgate University Poem

*Colgate University*

It was Colgate Day, Friday the 13th,
And this is the tale of the Lucky 13:

Running in a panic on this haunted night,
Not a soul around or a party in sight,
The G Phi B ran clear of the silence,
Into a safe house that emptied the dryness.
Finding this house was just Colgate luck,
And there were twelve others who partook in such.

Three people got lucky for the first time,
Giving it away after taking their time.
Two lovers first kissed while they walked the Willow Path,
Knowing that a wedding lay in its aftermath.
One passed a math test with only blind guesses,
Luck is the factor no proctor assesses.
A Raider scored the winning goal to beat Cornell,
The luck is the Raider shot the same time he fell.
A couple caught a glimpse of our Adam & Eve,
The swans at the lake that helped feed their reprieve.
One got a free drink at the Old Stone Jug,
And it came with a wink from the bartender’s mug.
Through the COVE a Raider was lucky enough—
To be the one to boost one down on her luck.
And one got the letter of acceptance from the dean,
To complete this great legend of the Lucky 13.

Clarkson University Poem

*Clarkson University*

Hands carrying their work should spill pride
As the interning Knight who floods Wall Street,
Gold cast to solutions soon flows in tide
Out to the green where the changes meet.
With SPEED, students take to the CAMP,
Hands of vast workers mix and empower,
The brow of the Knight is leveled & damp,
Hand-to-mouth working with conventions devoured.
Hands, hold steady, shield the Knights’ gold,
And the gold will shield you clear from the chill,
Hands, bring frenzy, block the tried goal,
So outsiders who enter will feel The Cheel.
When you strike & miss the gold that was aimed:
The workman who strived need not be ashamed.

(Set to Cheer Cadence)

What’s—a Seawolf??
He’s—a Seawolf!
What’s—a Seawolf??
She’s—a Seawolf!
What—are Seawolves??
We’re—the Seawolves!
Where are—the Seawolves?

Well-Well-Well-Well…

We-are: the-Seawolves: of-Sto-ny Brook,
Catching: the bait-ers: with-a left hook!
Wond’ring: who-we are, no more, no más,
They-study: this sea-life, like-the SoMAS!
You’ll-find: The Red Zone, storming: the dorms,
We-are: Red Hot, with: the-coo-lest norms:
Chillfest: in fall, again-in: the spring,
Roth-Pond: Re-gat-ta, then-the: bands sing!
Parties: on Thurs-days: around: the block,
When-we: come home, then: we-got: Wolfstock!
Homecom-ing brings: all alum-ni back,
At-the Par-ade: it’s: the-whole: wolf pack!
Strawber-ry Fest: this-day is: so sweet,
Af-ter the-ber-ries: there’s oth-er treats:
Music, and danc-ing, these are: the joys,
Found-in: Long-Island, Ahoy, Ahoy!
We-are: the-Seawolves: crashing: the shores,
Of-this: new camp-us, then-crash-ing yours!
With-teams: that’s ready, ready: to bound,
Shocking: the World-on: the-base-ball mound!
Look out: sports world, here Stony: Brook comes,
Our pro-grams: are rising: from-out: the slums,
Straight-to: the top, with: the-red & gray,
Like-Mon-day’s café—we’re ready: to play,
This-is: our spirit, this-is: our way,
Ask-what: we are, and Seawolves: will say,

I-I-I-I-I Am A Seawolf!

Hofstra University Poem

Available Now for only 99 cents!

*Hofstra University*

The red morning sky brings Gold,
White,
&
Blue,
A sky falling with “Dutchmen,”
Bring the wooden shoe;
For this name of the Dutchmen
Flies no more,
It’s with a new Purpose
The Pride Shall Roar.
In a spring fest, Hofstra
Goes Dutch,
Through Italy and Ireland
The senses touch—
Experiences of culture
along New York,
emanating in the air
along Newport.
On deck, we board destinations
of the globe,
And dwell in our Films
& Theatre in
Globe;
Lodging a Greek Life
that like David bares all:
our spirit of Pride
from the gates of fall.

We build floats and bonfires
to lead us Home,
And resist the departure
Of what we’ve known;
But know there’s a world
With red skies of dawn
That we can reach when all
From our muse
Is drawn.

We will leave the misery of defeat
as foreign,
And retain the habits that tour
Occurrence,
Italy, Ireland, all
U.S.A.,
Wherever there is beauty—
We’re on our way;
Hofstra is a world where we all
Take Pride,
And the purpose of world-taking
Takes the steadfast Pride.
The purpose of world-taking takes the steadfast Pride,
The purpose of world-taking takes the steadfast Pride.

NYU-Poly Poem

*NYU—Poly*

Enterprise Learning needs R&D Centers like
NYU Poly—Where independent growth takes place
onsite & online. Providing branches that oversee the day-to-day
operations of the next generation of
technology entrepreneurs.
We have engineered a new name
for ourselves with deactivators of
the nonactive and Twitterers who
have left this nest to
transform the web.
From NYU Poly,
Jack Dorsey, light-beer creator Joseph Owades,
and a conglomerate of CEOs, engineers, and inventors
have made their stance against time’s square
by stepping outside the box.
And now with the reengineers
of this hailed name,
We are not just the skin of this flourishing fruit,
We have become the
NYC Seed.

Under the Table

From Art of Mind II: All In

*Under the Table*

Didn’t you know?

You have to have a D Cup to Pour Drinks,
or at least be
Too Hot to Handle.
Yeah…
And if you wanna sell merchandise, then
You better have the Goods,
and you can’t just tell about the offer, you
Gotta
Show ‘Em What You Got…
Seems if you’re not Working with Something then you’ll probably
be
Working for next to Nothing.

I’m just informing you about the ways of business:
They don’t think they’ll make a Fraction: Without a Main Attraction.
But now that can’t be, can it?
We wouldn’t drink less just because her top shows less,
We’d still get Tanked even if her face looked Pranked…
And I came in just for the Wings!
Not cuz I wanna add Breasts.

Now I’m not Sayin’ I won’t look —
Just That Food was all it took.

Wish I could say this was just for overnight sensations
With misguided hopes of undercover relations,
But it seems the same applies to every field of taxations —
Sometimes even more than gigs without Taxation…
A degree might not be enough if you want to be on top,
Sometimes it takes being on bottom to be directed to the top…
Seems I can’t find a woman in a suit that I don’t want to tear out of —
You should be able to be a little overweight and still Wait,
Still expect a lot of tips without being granted tits…
And be a little full and still have some pull…
Excuse Me. Can I please get a casual face?
Or see someone get hired without an ass like a vase?
Well all the “real” women now are probably sitting behind desks:
If she’s only taking calls then we can pretend it’s Jessica Hall.
And right when they find their sanctuary —
They’re bumped for a hot new secretary.

I tell you if Jill Scott and Kelly Price can sell as modeled,
Then you gotta figure if they had a slimmer figure
They’d be making over Eight Figures.
They may be lucky they even got in, because someone surely said to them,
“You’re too big to Fit In.”
Every day a deserving Executive is turned into a Fry Lady,
If you got a Hatchet-Face then they make you a Crybaby.
The Fairer Sex has been treated Way too Wrong,
Debarred from Equal Opportunity against
Their Own too Long,
It’s gonna take a Strong Man
To come and
Right this Wrong,
Or a Natural Woman like Aretha
To sing a Shaping Song…
Until then I’ll take my service to whoever fills my needs,
That doesn’t change if she’s a Sprig or she has Double-Ds…
And I don’t tip for the cleavage — I’ll tip for the
Deeds —
You shouldn’t have to hit your knees to hear a simple, “Yes, Please.”
